Cameras and housing
The most popular type of housing now is the dome. Dome camera's are discrete and durable. They can also a PTZ function (Pan, Tilt and Zoom) within the housing. To monitor and scan an area reducing the need for more camera's. However if you don't have a full time security guard on site it's going to be difficult to monitor your site effectively. Recording
Contact Security have worked with VCR recorders since the company first started and still maintain alot of systems incorporating VCR's.
Contact Security now operate a policy of only installing DVR's (Digital Video Recorders) the advantages of recording using a hard-disk are:

NUMBER PLATE RECOGNITION
Automatic recognition of vehicle number plates has long been attempted, but the technical and environmental problems were previously too difficult to overcome. The problems have now been solved, and ANPR systems now are extremely effective in providing secure transport surveillance umbrellas:
