Access Control

 

We installed a comprehensive networked access control system to ensure that visitors weren't able to access certain sensitive areas of the office area. The access control software was a Paxton Net2 System. The access control system enabled them to manage staff access to control access to the building between certain time frames. It also allowed them to set expiry times on access cards for visitors and temporary staff so if the card left the building they would not be able to access the building after their contracted time with MAIB.

 

The access control system is linked in the buildings fire alarm system, which releases the doors automatically in the event of a fire.

 

A high quality card printer enables them to print onto the access control cards to double up as an ID Badge for staff.

 

Intercom System

 

We have installed a DDA Compliant Video Intercom System to the two front entrance doors. We have mounted the proximity reader into the intercom to ensure security to the reader and to be in keeping with the high end finish of the new offices.

The intercom calls 2 video monitors which are mounted onto a desk and plugged into an RJ45 socket. This makes it easy for users to

re-position the intercom monitor anywhere on their desk.

 

Intruder Alarm System

 

We have installed a comprehensive alarm system including specially selected ceiling mounted movement sensors because it was difficult to mount conventional corner mounted sensors because of the floor to ceiling glass. As all the cables are run in the false ceiling we were able to save a considerable amount of labour time because we used ceiling detectors. As usual these savings are passed onto our client.
